Born in Athens, she joined the choir at the age of eight. Aikaterini Papadopoulou has featured on a broad range of audio recordings and has worked in a various different schools and conservatories as an oud teacher. Among other roles, she now teaches Greek folk music at the Conservatory of Athens.
