Llu\u00eds Vilamaj\u00f3 was born in Barcelona. He first started making music in the children’s choir at Montserrat Monastery. He studied music culture and singing at the conservatory in Barcelona with Margarita Sabart\u00e9s and Carmen Marrinez. He then worked with many famous musicians and gave concerts throughout Europe, the USA, Mexico and Israel. He sings tenor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sings in many ensembles, such as Baroque de Limoges and Il Fondamento, and is a member of La Capella Reial de Catalunya. As a soloist, he has sung in numerous works, including J.S. Bach’s Magnificat and Mozart’s Requiem. He has also made many recordings for numerous record companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is a member of La Capella Reial de Catalunya and Hesp\u00e8rion XXI under the direction of Jordi Savall and collaborates with the Al Ayre Espa\u00f1ol ensemble, Les Sacqueboutiers de Toulouse, La Fenice, the Ensemble Baroque de Limoges, Il Fondamento, the Baroque Orchestra of Venice and the Baroque Orchestra of Seville, with whom he has given numerous concerts and made recordings in Europe, Mexico, the United States and Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has conducted the Capella de Musica de Santa Maria del Mar ensemble in Barcelona, where he previously sang under the direction of Maestro Enric Gispert, as well as the Cor de Noies de l’Orfe\u00f3 C\u00e1tala, the Coro Barroco de Andalucia (Seville) and the Coro Vozes de Al Ayre Espa\u00f1ol (Zaragoza).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a soloist, he has sung in works such as Monteverdi’s Vespers, Bach’s Magnificat, Mozart’s Requiem, Puccini’s Gloria Mass, Haydn’s Creation, Debussy’s L’Enfant prodigue, Bach’s Passions, Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Mass in B minor and Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria by C. Monteverdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
