Inspired by the medieval vocal ensembles known as the Chapels Royal (capillas reales), in 1987, Montserrat Figueras and Jordi Savall decided to bring this medieval institution \u2013 founded in 1297 by James II of Aragon \u2013 back to life. As a result, La Capella Reial was formed.<\/p>\n
The new ensemble is devoted to the preservation and performance of the polyphonic vocal heritage of the Middle Ages and of the Hispanic and European golden era before the 19th century. La Capeilla Reial seeks to express the musical roots and cultural traditions of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as to research and preserve them.<\/p>\n

\n Ricordo per\u00f2 una simpatica storiella appresa durante la visita al Museo della Fisarmonica di Castelfidardo, splendido paesino in provincia di Ancona, nella regione Marche.<\/em>
\n Dopo aver visto fisarmoniche costruite nelle pi\u00f9 varie foggie e con svariati materiali, vidi una fisarmonica nera, tutta incastonata di pezzetti di specchio.<\/em>
\n Strano, una fisarmonica con specchi\u2026 A chi poteva servire? Forse ad un suonatore vanitoso? No. La spiegazione \u00e8 pi\u00f9 curiosa.<\/em>
\n La musica popolare, mette allegria, e attira tutti, anche streghe e diavoli i quali per\u00f2 avvicinandosi alla fisarmonica vedono riflesso negli specchi il loro orrendo aspetto e scappano inorriditi, lasciando i festanti liberi dalla loro presenza.<\/em><\/p>\n
